Max's First Official Haircut

It took Max a long time to ever have enough hair to cut.  & for awhile my mom & I have been taking turns cutting Max's hair.  Well between his inability to cooperate & a few botched haircuts it became time to stop being cheap & actually take him to a professional.  Max was super nervous about getting his haircut.  I'm glad I took BeBe & Pappy with me to help out.  Pappy helped hold Dean (since he was getting hungry after the 25 min wait) & BeBe actually sat in the chair holding Max & comforting him, I snapped pics the whole time.  Hopefully now that Max realized it getting a haircut is not a big deal & he gets suckers & cookies afterward we'll have an easier time in the future...Who knew it would take 4 adults to get one little boy's hair cut.

Looking nervous before going to the chair

Mom, I'm not so sure about this...

A sucker?!  I guess this isn't too bad...

Family Pics!!!!

My amazing friend Amber took our family pictures for us recently- she just posted some of them up on her blog- check them out!  Thanks Amber.  I won't even begin to talk about how not fun the experience was to take pictures with an *almost* 2 year old...  Even Dean who never cries was fussy that day.  But they actually turned out soooo cute!

Pics of Dean & a small, no make that chunky, update

Since Max stays so busy I feel like we don't get enough pictures of Dean on this blog.  So here are some cute pics of Mr. Dean...  Oh & we had his 3 month shot visit yesterday.  Dean weighed in at 15 lbs 1 oz- that's the size Max was at his 6 month check-up- holy moly!

A good friend of mine's little boys said a prayer while I was pregnant that "Baby Max's Baby Brother Dean would be chunky like Max"- well Dayton & Grady- you got your prayer answered!  :-)

Bike Park

Barrett & I met up with some friends at the local bike park the other day.  Max got to bring his tractor, since he's not quite big enough for a bike yet.  He did have fun attempting to use one of his older friend's scooters though.

When asked in the car on the way home- Max did you have fun?  YA!!!

3 Months Old

In the midst of our Halloween festivities Mr. Dean turned 3 months old!  He's getting so big & alert.  Dean loves to watch Max play & be silly.  Dean is a smiley, happy little baby who loves to laugh, coo, & snuggle...  Except for when Mommy is trying to take his monthly picture...

Halloween Part V- Finally!

& finally...  The Halloween post about the actual Trick or Treating!  This was Max's first official time to trick or treat.  We went trick or treating in one of our friend's neighborhoods & we had so much fun.  Max had a great time & really liked getting all of his treats.  We got his first house on video, but we also took a ton of pictures.

*almost* all the kiddos

Getting hydrated before the fun begins

Snacking to get energy in the middle of the trick or treating

Halloween Part IV

Halloween weekend continued into Saturday with a fun craft-playdate for our MOPS group...

Carrying in the balloons...

Dean doing what he does best...

Halloween Part III

On Friday night we went to a superbly fun Halloween party at our friends' house.  There were a TON of kids & we had a blast hanging out while the kids ran around the backyard.  Here are a few pics from that evening.  Somehow we didn't get any pics of Barrett & I together, but I was dressed 70s also, but without a wig...

Here is Dean the pumpkin with Daddy.   See if you can spot Max in the background of this pic...

Halloween Part II

Halloween festivities continued with a Costume Parade & Party at Max's Mother's Day Out school.  Max was not in the mood for a parade, so guess what?!  Mom got to carry Max around in the parade...  Therefore- no pics of the actual parade...

This is Max playing with the airplane he gets off the shelf every morning when he walks into his classroom...

the sticker from the craft project made for a better "nose" for the puppy costume...

Halloween Part I

Our Halloween week was very very busy.  Max was able to wear his puppy costume many times & had so much fun wearing it.  His first chance was at Kindermusik...

Checking himself out in the mirror...

Playing Music...

Where's Max?!

One morning last week the house got eerily quite- usually a good sign that Max is up to no good.  I snuck around the house trying to catch him in whatever he was doing.  I couldn't find him & started to get nervous, but it was odd because I thought I smelt bananas.  Well this is what I found hiding behind the rocking chair in Dean's room...
