Neverland

This post has no pictures, but I want to document the story.  This week while we were driving I told the boys that I was going to take them to Neverland so they would never grow up & stay my little boys forever.  Well Dean got so excited.  The next morning, I saw him packing up stuff in his backpack.  Since we are packing the house up, I assumed it was because he was getting his special stuff ready to move.  When I asked him about it- he told me he was getting ready to go to Neverland with me.  In his backpack he packed- his fireman's hat, his pirate shirt, his treasure chest, & of course blue puppy.  Dean asked me numerous times throughout the day when we were going to go to Neverland (I would answer that we needed to wait until Daddy got home from work, so he could go with us).  He kept telling me he wanted to drive there & we discussed how we would need to fly since Neverland is an island & we would have to borrow some pixie dust from Tinkerbell.

Oh how I wish it was true & that I could take these 3 sweet little boys to Neverland so they could stay this sweet forever.

Max the fisherman

Max has become quite the fisherman this summer.  He has caught quite a few fish (some big enough we didn't have to throw back!). I'm sure no one is surprised that he prefers to fish in just his underwear.

House News

Well we are moving...  But not to the new house...  Unfortunately our landlords are not letting us stay for one more month- so we are moving to a vacation rental (fully furnished) in town.  Yes, all 5 of us will be in a tiny 2 bedroom condo for 25 days (but who's counting?!).

We've experienced a few frustrations & issues that have come up in the past few weeks.  I'm just trying to keep my eye on the prize & stop stressing out about all of it.

All of these pictures were taken with my phone & the  electricity isn't on yet, so excuse the clarity & color

Kitchen Progress (tile will actually go all the way to the ceiling behind the hood)

Beams are in & so is the kitchen sink!

Entry Hallway (plywood in the back of the picture is a huge window that hasn't been installed yet)

Breakfast Room

Roll Up Window in the playroom (counter still needs to be installed)- this is a "garage style" window that is a pass thru to the outside patio- Barrett's idea & it looks awesome!

Summer Ranch Fun!

Barrett finally took some time off of work & we got to spend a long weekend at the ranch with the boys.  They had a blast (of course!) & surprisingly I even had a good time!  Looking forward to more fall nights & weekends up there.

Bucket List 2013

At the beginning of the summer we made a little "bucket list" of things we wanted to do.  Some activities were things we've never done, & some were some we do often.  We didn't get our whole bucket list checked off, but we had so much fun exploring new places & seeing things we've never seen.

of our activities was visiting the Witte Museum in San Antonio.  The museum was having a dinosaur exhibit with life-size dinosaurs that move.  Dean had a great time teasing the dinosaurs- he is fearless!  Max enjoyed playing with the ipads that were at each dinosaur's station.  The boys haven't stopped talking about the mummies that were in a different exhibit- they both love Scooby Doo & I think they liked seeing a mummy in real life since they've seen them on their Scooby Doo episodes.

11 Months!

Little Wyatt turned 11 months at the end of August.  He loves clapping his hands & is starting to wave bye bye.  Wyatt loves to snuggle with his tiger & I bought him a 2nd one to take to school.  Wyatt loves playing with his brothers & has become quite the explorer now that he is crawling everywhere. He loves to do jumpy jumpy & dance.  Wyatt loves country music & always dances & claps his hands if it's on (which he really only hears in restaurants, since we don't listen to it much).

Back To School

The boys started school & have been really enjoying the year.  Wyatt had a little adjustment period getting used to being away from Mommy, but has been having fun.  The big boys are going to the same school they have been going to for a few years.  Wyatt isn't old enough for their preschool so I take him to a Mother's Day Out program at a church downtown.

Dean has been so excited about school this year because he gets to see his best friend Cash twice a week.  Those two boys are inseparable & such good buddies.  It is so cute to watch them play.
