Since we just had several posts of Max I figured it was Dean's turn for some pictures.

Max's "Baby"
A few months before Dean was born my mom got Max a baby doll to help him get ready for Dean's arrival. He really had fleeting interest in the baby doll until after Dean was born. I randomly find the baby doll in Dean's bed, etc. The other morning I come into the kitchen & find this & was actually able to capture it! I just thought it was soooo cute...
Pumpkin Patch #2
Max, Dean, & I had a playdate at the Bracken Pumpkin Patch a couple of weeks ago. It was a beautiful day & tons of mommies & kiddos came out to run around the pumpkins. We had a great time enjoying the outdoors.
Our little Future Football Star
Max loves going on walks with mom & runs with dad. They always end at the neighborhood park where he gets to play football!

SlapSlapSlap
One morning as I was getting the bag ready for us to leave the house I hear a slap slap slap noise going down the hallway. Having a house that contains a toddler I'm used to a variety of new sounds. As I turned around I see Max in his Mommy's flip flops. He had walked all the way from our room to the kitchen in Mommy's flip flops. Max then refused to take them off to leave & he walked in them all they way to the car. I was impressed with how well he could walk in my shoes. Daddy probably won't think this post is funny when Max learns to walk in my heels.
A Trip to the Farm
On Saturday my mom & I took Max to a farm up in Marble Falls. Given that the Thomas the Train event the day before didn't make Max as happy as I had expected I kept my expectations pretty low. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. Max seemed to have a very good time at the farm. There were pumpkin patches & all sorts of fun things for kids to do. We didn't participate in all the events since he wasn't quite old enough to do all of them, but nonetheless he had a good time running around.
Checking out the goats
He didn't understand why the goats weren't interested in him (he was the only kid not feeding them)
Where'd you go?!
Dean doing what he does best! (notice he had on matching overalls)
Max LOVED the boat filled with pumpkins. He kept calling it RyRy's boat (every boat in the entire world must be owned by my brother- according to Max anyways)

A Day with Thomas the Train
Several months ago a friend told me about an event in Burnet, TX- a Day with Thomas the Train. Well Max is a big fan of trains in general & so we thought it'd be a great family thing to do. So I ordered the tickets months ago & we had all sorts of anticipation of how much fun Max would have seeing Thomas the Train. What we didn't count on was that the T. Train event was also close to his birthday- more specifically the 2 year old birthday.
Here's how the day went- arrive in Burnet, meet up with friends, walk into event, Max spots Thomas & gets very excited, within seconds of him seeing the train Thomas pulls away to give other kids a ride, Max starts crying. I think it went downhill from there. We took Max over to the big tent that had trains to play with & such. Max gets into tug a wars with other kids that result in pushing. I know all the kids were super excited about being in Thomas world, but some of them had acted like they had never shared or been around other kids before. Maybe I'm spoiled because for the most part the kids we encounter are polite & well-mannered (even if there is an occasional incident), well this was not like that At.All.
The train ride was less than exciting. The train at our local park could lap this train several times over, actually I could probably walk faster while shopping than this train went. I'm not quite sure why they make it go so slow since it's a full sized train, but it was pretty ridiculous. Max was pretty upset the entire 1/2 hour ride. Which made it super fun for me & Daddy. In all there was a few moments where he had a fun time (very short moments). But, as you'll be able to see in the pictures most of it was pretty lousy... :-(
In the car watching Thomas the Train dvd on the way to see Thomas the Train

Look! It's Thomas the Train
OH NO Thomas is LEAVING
Having some fun playing with the Trains under the tent
Dad is TORTURING me... (look @ the other kids reactions- I think they thought Max was crazy)
Dad was trying to maintain a positive attitude- what a trooper
One of the few happy moments- getting a treat- chocolate milk
