A couple of weeks ago was the Comal County Fair & Parade. Well I had no idea what a big deal this parade was until I saw for myself. The entire town shuts down for this parade- the kids are off school, most businesses are closed. A few of my friends' husbands went very early in the morning (before 7) to get all of our seats set-up. They said that when they got there it appeared people had camped out the night before. Seriously?! Camping out for a spot at a parade- that's just ridiculous. Anyways, I thought our seats were fantastic & I was so grateful for those guys setting up 30 chairs so that we could have a great spot.
Max did not have the best of times. I just don't think he understood why we were there or what the big deal was. He liked the balloon he got & I tried to keep him entertained with snacks, but until the parade actually started he just was not in a good mood. Max really liked when the marching bands came, the firetrucks, & the tractors. I seriously have never seen so many tractors (even in Iowa). We were only at the parade for an hour (it lasts 3 hours), but we probably saw about 50 tractors, I'm sure there were more later. Here are some pictures of the event...
