Fall Soccer

Fall soccer season has begun.  Max & Dean are on different teams now, based on their ages.  Max is on the black knights & Dean is on the red sharks.  Max is getting to play for his coach from last spring, along with all the same players.  Dean is on an all new team.  Max is really going after the ball & extremely enthusiastic about playing.  Dean has a whole new level of confidence that we haven't seen before.  They both seem to really be enjoying playing.

Max's Field Trip

Max was able to go on a pretty awesome field trip.  The two kindergarten classes were asked to lead the pledge of allegiance at a special Welcome Home ceremony for a wounded soldier.  A soldier who had lost his legs in Afghanistan was built a custom home by a local builder out in Canyon Lake.  So on 9/11 there was a huge ceremony to hand over the keys & welcome him to his new home.  I wasn't expecting the magnitude of this event.  Someone handed Max a flag at the beginning of the event & he held that flag with such pride & respect the whole time we were there.

Grandparent's Day Breakfast

Max's school hosted a pancake breakfast in celebration of Grandparent's Day.  Max was so excited to show Grandma, Grandpa, & BeBe his school & his classroom.

Dean's 1st Day of School

Max started school a couple of weeks before Dean's school started.  Dean did not think that was fair!!!  It was a long couple of weeks of Dean asking daily when he would get to go to school.  This is completely different from last year, when he was very hesitant about going to school.  Dean started the frog class this year, which is 2 days a week.  He is super excited about going to school & doesn't understand why he can't go to school more.  He is constantly asking when his next school day is.  His excitement about school has been so refreshing.  I am so thrilled Dean is enjoying himself & excited about learning.

Max's 1st Day of School

Max started his new school!  He is officially a kindergartner.  The first day of school I was able to hold it together & not cry until we got to the parking lot.  Dean asked "are we really going to leave Max here?" & I lost it.  I couldn't believe it either.  But, Max is loving school!  He has become so responsible & older in just a few weeks.  He holds himself so differently & talks with such maturity.  His school uniform makes him look older, but also younger at the same time- if that makes sense??!!  I'm so excited for Max & so glad he seems to be enjoying this new experience.  

We always celebrate the first day of school with a special treat.  Max was so hungry when I picked him up he asked for Chick-fil-A for chicken & a milkshake.

Happy Birthday Dean!!!

Dean,  You are a silly, wild, fun, amazing little boy.  I love to hear you giggle & watch you dance.  I love that you love crocodiles, blue puppy, & Paw Patrol.  You are a great big brother for Wyatt & a fun little brother to Max.  You are the perfect middlest of our family.  We are so lucky & blessed to have you bring us joy every single day.  Happy 4th birthday!!!
