FINALLY! We have been so ridiculously busy that I am a month behind on posts. I'm sorry! Max's birthday seemed to last for quite awhile around here. He had his party day, the day after his party (where he got to open one of his presents every hour), his real birthday, the day he celebrated at school, the day he got his tractor, & presents arrived in the mail sporadically. He loved all of the attention & presents. Having a birthday with presents a couple of weeks before presents go under the Christmas tree has been tough for him to understand. He thinks he should be able to open presents now that he sees them every day.
Max's party was fun! He had a bunch of his little friends & tons of family members come celebrate with him at the local children's museum. He had such a good time running around the museum, eating cake, playing & having a good time. After the party we went back to our house & let him open a couple of presents from the family that came to the party. Max was exhausted! So we decided the next day would be when Max would get a chance to open all of the many many presents his friends brought for him. So Max could get a chance to play with each present- we gave him one each hour. It was so fun watching him get excited all day long when he'd get "ANOTHER PRESENT!".
His actual birthday was fun too. We spent the day just having fun together. Barrett was able to get someone to cover him at work for a few hours so he could come home for dinner & so we could give him his birthday present from us. Max got a train table & some train set pieces. He loves them! We play trains several times a day now.
Here are a bunch of pictures from all of the festivities surrounding Max's birthday week...
