These pictures are actually from the first time we tried to let Dean eat some food. I believe in waiting to feed solid foods to babies until they are about 6 months & showing signs that they're ready (which is also what AAP recommends). Our pediatrician had told me at Dean's 4 month check-up that we could start him on solids. B & I discussed it & just didn't think he was ready. So we decided to try when he was 5 months. These pictures are from our attempt. Dean was obviously not interested at all in eating food. So we made the decision to wait a couple of weeks.
Dean has now started (very slowly) eating some solids. We started with avocado (the perfect food) & have now moved on to pumpkin. I got the very awesome Beaba babycook machine at Christmas from my mom & can't wait to start using it to make food for Dean. I made Max's food too, but used old fashion steamer baskets & a food processor. I can't wait to use my new fancy baby food making machine!
he seems so big, but then you see him in that big-boy seat, and he suddenly looks little again! keep him in that seat & maybe he'll stay a baby, just a little longer!!!!
