Rehearsal Dinner Rewind

A week & a half ago my little brother married the woman of his dreams.  Our family all loves Laura & has been looking forward to welcoming her *officially* to our family since well before they were even engaged.  I can't even tell you how excited I was the day Ryan called & asked my opinion on proposing.

We had a wonderful weekend of festivities celebrating their love.  The weather was absolutely perfect spring weather (which was a blessing since the next weekend was horribly cold & rainy).  Ryan & Laura decided to get married at Texas Old Town in Kyle, which was extremely convenient for us!  We didn't have to stay at a hotel & the hotel that all the family did stay at was only about 15 minutes from our house!  It made it quite nice to keep Max on his schedule.

At the rehearsal Pappy taught Max how to throw rocks into the river.  Um, thanks...  The rest of the weekend was spent trying to keep Max from running/jumping/falling into the river as he tried to get rocks that were well out of his reach to toss into the river.  Oh so much fun for a mommy.

After the rehearsal we had a fun time going on a winery tour at the Mandola Estate Winery & everyone but me got to enjoy a fabulous wine tasting (do you hear the whining in my voice?).  Dinner followed at the restaurant on site & boy was it yummy!  Max ate his weight in gelato that evening & I was so nervous I'd never get the chocolate stains out of his brand new white linen shirt, but alas I am a laundry genius & they came out on the first try!  Yay Mom!

So here are some pics of Mr. Max at the rehearsal dinner...

This is how we kept him entertained during the winery tour-
