Max loves dinosaurs- Dinosaur Train (tv show), dinosaur toys, dinosaur books, etc. So when a Groupon popped up a couple of months ago for a place called Dinosaur Quest in San Antonio I knew it was something we should take Max on a field trip. One afternoon we met up with Grandma & Grandpa at Dinosaur Quest in order for Max to explore & *maybe* learn something about dinosaurs.
Dinosaur Quest was a little over his head I think. He thought it was fun looking at all the bones, but the movies they had playing kinda freaked him out. When he was watching the movie about a T-Rex & showing him hunting & eating his prey Max had some questions. Why'd that dinosaur bite the other dinosaur Mommy? Uh Oh he broke the dinosaurs leg Mommy... & so forth. Ya not what I expected to have to explain to him. So we didn't stay at Dinosaur Quest for very long.
There was a little play area at the mall that Dinosaur Quest is at. This gave us an opportunity to let the kiddos play a little bit before we headed to dinner. Pics from the day...
We took the kids to see the recent Disney Pirates of the Caribbean movie and when the mermaids all turned into monsters, I wanted to scoop the kids up and run out of the theater. I couldn't help but think I'd robbed them of a beautiful childhood fantasy that all mermaids were beautiful and magical. At least the play area looked like a lot of fun.
